Spatial Distribution of Ciliate Assemblages in a Shallow Floodplain Lake with an Anaerobic Zone

The spatial distribution of ciliate assemblages was studied in a shallow floodplain lake with sharp division space by oxygen conditions. surface zone occupied the “carpet” Lemna trisulca and L. minor characterized large daily amplitude content periodic exceeding 100% saturation; underlying water layer microaerobic conditions throughout most year, seasonal deviations towards oxygen-free (in winter mid-summer) or increased (before freezing after ice melt); stable were maintained bottom at lake. There 111 species ciliated protozoa recorded clearly structured formed three almost non-overlapping terms composition, which retained their isolation during all seasons year. On basis analysis performed using R indicspecies package, identified as indicators different regimes, are determined level organic pollution photosynthetic organisms.
